What to expect 

 
  • First visit to Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO). It is one of the most important astronomical centres in Eastern Europe and Middle East region, both by its scientific instruments and achievements.Here we enter some rooms closed for public visits.
  • Visit The scientific giant of Orgov. During the Cold War, scientists in the US and the USSR had almost unlimited budgets when it came to space research. For many, their primary objective was not politics, but the exploration of other worlds.Construction of the 54 metre  Orgov Radio-Optical Telescope took place between 1975 and 1985. Operational in 1986, it captured a radio-flare on the Etta Gemini star within its first few minutes of operation. The area is closed for public visits. 
  • Visit Aragats Cosmic Station. The cosmic ray research station on Mount Aragats sits at an altitude of 3,200 metres. The site in Armenia was constructed in 1943 to conduct top-secret research into atomic reactions for the development of nuclear weapons. Now the facility provides insight into thunderstorms and cosmic rays. We are going to visit areas which are closed for public visits 
  • The Lunch in Aragats Comic Station Buffet with special menu will take you back to Soviet era, as almost nothing has been changed there since Soviet times.
